Killarney Provincial Park, Bell Lake

Considering our long history with canoeing, it is perhaps surprising that we had not yet laid eyes on the fabled Killarney Provincial Park, except in Group of Seven paintings. We went the extra mile this time and were not disappointed.

You could spend a lifetime exploring Killarney’s great expanse, and we do hope to return at least once more. For our first trip, we chose Bell Lake and reserved a specific site at the top of the lake just at the inlet to Three Mile Lake, on the east side. I find it helpful to look at a Google Satellite view when choosing. Exposed rock is a promise of picture possibilities.
